As part of the development of the new Assessment Instruments for High Risk Work, AS/NZS 1576.6:2000 must be taken into account for Intermediate Scaffolding. Current Intermediate Scaffolding assessment instruments used in all States other than Queensland still refer to Supplement 1 of AS 1576.3 which has now been replaced by AS/NZS 1576.6:2000. If the Queensland experience is anything to go by, this alone will be a considerable challenge for the persons responsible for the development of the Intermediate Scaffolder assessments. There are a number of anomalies in the Standard which need to be resolved.

The TRANZnet OH&S card has been updated to include the
latest competency standard from TLISC.
In an interesting twist, the NSW IRC Awards which call for Bluecard under competency "TDT F10 97B Follow OH&S procedures" are now out of date, as they call up an old competency. To refer to the new competency, they will need to be amended.
TRANZnet has reacted immediately to the changes, and the OH&S Card is now available in the new format.
